edit: Article is from June 11th not July 11th Translation: A mega player in the legal marijuana market enters the country The Canadian company Aphria is licensed to grow cannabis for medical purposes in Colombia. Aphria, one of the main players in the medicinal cannabis market in the world with operations in the United States, Australia, Germany, Argentina, Brazil and Portugal, has her eyes set on Colombia, and is already planning an initial investment of 20 million dollars in the country. A week ago the managers of the Canadian company visited our country, where they already have a license to grow. Victor Jacob Neufeld, CEO of Aphria, spoke with EL TIEMPO about the future of the medicinal cannabis industry and the impact it will have on the Colombian economy. Why Colombia? Most of the firms established in Canada had their eyes set on Europe, Germany, Ireland, Italy; and although we are also there we can say that it is a market in which there are many firms betting on their objectives... https://www.reddit.com/r/weedstocks/comments/8ylmhr/aphria_columbian_article_jul...

LiveWell (CVE:LVWL) shaping up to be an interesting new Canadian LP
I'm thinking about placing an order on some LVWL shares and am wondering if anyone has had a chance to do some DD on this. Could be a bit of a hidden gem around here. Share price fluctuating between $1 and $1.5-, ~90 million market cap. Canopy owns 15% and is involved as a strategic partner. They are going to foot the bill for any regulatory hurdles and are sharing genetics. Cost per gram is estimated to be under $0.90 once they finish their greenhouses. I have heard that they will be uplisting to the NASDAQ soon. I don't mean for this to be a pump, I don't have skin in the game yet. Just looking to start a discussion. I think I'll make a play if it dips under a dollar. 'BC Tweed
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iW3Sg038Nzc The latest promotional video for Canopy's BC Tweed site shows a little bit more of the scale of the greenhouses. From the video, there will be 700,000 plants growing in the facility. From this we can start to make some estimations for the annual yield from BC Tweed. It's tough to get a good estimate of actual per plant yield as it varies greatly on site conditions, master grower quality, growing medium, and strain but I will use numbers that Cronos provided in their Q1 financials. From 9,965 plants they expect to harvest 1,742,000 grams per cycle. They claim that the average full grow cycle is 15 weeks so on average there can be 3.5 grow cycles in a year. Therefore 9,965 plants rotating on 3.5 cycles per year are expected to produce 6,097,000 grams annually. This is 612 grams of yield per rotating single plant per year. Now according to the MD&A, Cronos' grow space is approximately 40% greenhouse and 60% indoor, so the yield will be... https://www.reddit.com/r/weedstocks/comments/8rcido/bc_tweed_meet_the_hans_video...

The risks of 'The Big 3'
So I'm just going to play devils advocate a bit on the big 3 and you guys can tell me what you think about these worries I have on each one. Full disclosure my weedstocks portfolio is about 80% Aphria and 20% Supreme. (I think we all know Supremes risks so I'll be skipping that one) Canopy: High cash burn rate with profitability not in sight All of their greenhouses are indoors and they are basically living in the past in terms of greenhouse tech. Indoor grows are the ways of olden times when growing was illegal and needed to be hidden. They are inherently more costly to run because they require more electricity for the lights and A/C needs to be constantly running even in Winter because of how much heat the lights produce. Canopy and Tweed more specifically seem to have the worst reviews from /r/canadients in terms of quality and customer service. Management seems to be all over the place. It's like the CEO has A.D.D and can't decide what they want to focus on. Aurora High cash burn... https://www.reddit.com/r/weedstocks/comments/6ce5kx/the_risks_of_the_big_3/

Thanks to everyone losing their shit on SNAP this morning I made a great trade on it from around 9:33 to 9:45, so I have some time to burn to help you guys get the big picture on this, and to hopefully relax. Ok so I made a brief post yesterday in the daily but it's all crucial for you to see; we SHOULD BE near the floor. I feel so fucking bad for these posts I see where people sold; one guy sold at a 40% loss, the other I saw sold at a 30k loss (!!!) for weed. This is not the time to panic. THIS IS THE TIME TO GET READY TO BUY. Don't try to time it, it could fall further. You want to see some days or more likely weeks of consolidation before buying, don't buy on a downtrend, buy on an uptrend. I already have around 6k shares of CGC, and plan on adding about 4k more once I see some consolidation and I clear some funds from my day trading account. I'll add most likely in the low 8 range. I don't care about missing out on the potential dollar gain by playing it safe, this is how I... https://www.reddit.com/r/weedstocks/comments/6akfem/what_a_great_opportunity_thi...

*the formatting is a lot better at http://www.felkerinvesting.com/2017/05/mettrum-was-incredibly-overpriced.html * it sucks having to rebold and respace everything on reddit :( This is about replacement costs and why Mettrum was an incredibly overpriced acquisition for Canopy Growth Corp (TSE:$WEED). I'm going to explain what it costs to buy or build a licensed production facility for cannabis and why Canopy Growth Corp should have spent the $430,000,000 for Mettrum on production facilities instead. Replacement cost is a very important variable in investing. Replacement cost is what it would cost to replace or build a business or acquisition from scratch and it is an extremely helpful way of looking at businesses when you compare it to the cost of the business in an open market. There is no sense in spending $100 million on a building that would cost $1 million to build. This is an extreme simplification because intangibles such as brand, management, industry, etc, cant be quantified... https://www.reddit.com/r/weedstocks/comments/69sjn6/mettrum_was_overpriced/
