Estimated cannabis supply upon legalization?
I know there are a lot of estimates being thrown out there, but i've heard that there is expected to be a major supply shortage for retail stores once legalization hits and stores finally open their doors. I know the LP's have to allot a certain amount of cannabis to their medical patients but has anyone calculated the total LP supply that will be ready to go for legalization to recreational to see if there will in fact be a supply shortage or not? submitted by /u/mikeyousowhite [link] [comments] https://www.reddit.com/r/weedstocks/comments/8ph4g2/estimated_cannabis_supply_up...

An Up-to-date Analysis of HVT
There was a napkin math thread created several months ago that used many speculative estimates of HVT's production and direction, as well as hopeful industry-wide PE ratios. I have seen many comments claiming that HVT is no longer relevant and will be one of the first to fail. Now that we are approaching legalization and many more of their projections become near-term, an analysis of the position that they may find themselves in becomes more realistic, although there are still many assumptions that have to be made. Let's keep in mind that every analysis shows that there will be a shortage of supply in 2019, meaning that all of HVT's bud should theoretically be sold. In referencing their most recent Financial Statements and MD&A release (as of May 30, 2018), here are some key statistics: Closed acquisition of Dreamwater for a total consideration of about $34.5 million. Dreamwater is currently sold in over 30,000 retail stores in North America with an approximate revenue of $6... https://www.reddit.com/r/weedstocks/comments/8nk3o0/an_uptodate_analysis_of_hvt/
